Hello Weight Loss Family! If you are on this page then you have made the choice to lose theweight naturally and just need the right push into the right direction.
I want you to imagine this for a second; close your eyes and imagine that you are standing in a crossroad in the middle of nowhere on a cloudy and foggy day.
This crossroad leads to at least 5 different paths all surrounding you but what you don’t know is that they will ultimately take you to the same place.
It will take you to the end of the road where the sun is bright glistening the path to the white sand.
This sand is covered by an emerald beach and blanketed by dancing palm trees.
Some paths are longer than others with unforeseen obstacles and grueling challenges, while others you will need to first gather “tools”. Tools that need to be “purchased” before you can trek the rest of the road.
One false move on this path and you will need to start at square 1.
There is one road however where you can travel at your own speed and pick up the tools you need by connecting with other travelers. These travelers have similar goals and desire to forage food from the land.
Yes! I am talking about weight loss and the paths each represents a different weight loss diet.
Diets that require costly monthly subscriptions to shakes, teas, pills etc. Others that require unhealthy habits of extreme fasting.
What about those that require you to take chemicals or where you believe you need to work out every day for hours upon hours without changing your eating habits.
Today, my weight loss friends, I would like to talk about The Ketogenic Diet. This diet is the natural, safe and least costly way to lose weight and keep it off!
Did you know that the average person consumes…
about 1000 grams of carbohydrates!?
What is a carbohydrate? Carbohydrates are molecules that have carbon, hydrogen and oxygen atoms. Carbohydrates are one of the three macro nutrients.
The main types of dietary carbohydrates are sugars, starches and fiber.
Refined carbohydrate foods are usually also lacking in essential nutrients. In other words, they are “empty” calories.
The added sugars are another story altogether, they are the absolute worst carbohydrates and
linked to all sorts of chronic diseases.Carbs can be found in at least 90% of the foods we eat.
Research has found that consuming too many carbs on a daily basis leads to higher insulin levels and an increased risk of diabetes.
Ask yourself; have you consumed any form of Pasta, Rice, Bread, Beans, Pizza, Apples, Oranges, Sodas or the most notorious food of them all fast food recently?
Well guess what, you are guilty of consuming Carbohydrates and lots of it! Did you know that a small carton of a brand name juice box for a toddler has 35 grams of Carbs or that a 591ML of a brand name Soda has 63 grams!
Go ahead, open your fridge, I dare you…
and take a look! I can wait.
While you are it, let’s go carb hunting and feel free to look at the carbohydrate count on some of the other items in your pantry and fridge.
Now MULTIPLY that with each box or bottle you may have drank and ADD the additional carbs that you ingested throughout the day.
Research has shown that “addiction” to carbs leads to overeating or your body’s demand to keep the sugar levels high. It’s no wonder that even after a hefty “meal” you still crave to eat more.
This my friends is what we call a vicious and unhealthy carb cycle that will not end until you make the change and break the cycle!
