Prior to starting the Ketogenic diet, the wife and I were guilty of drinking mixes FILLED with harmful sugars (Carbs) such as soda, juices and even liquor. Do not get me wrong as we enjoy our casual husband and wife romantic getaways from the kids and we would indulge in a cocktail or two but our mentor helped us realize that we were our own worse enemies. The majority of the carbohydrate intake was coming from liquids! A friendly reminder that to remain in Ketosis you can only ingest up to 25-40 grams of Carbs daily so don’t waste your time and money on empty calories and carbs.
